SACRAMENTO - The State Fair is celebrating its 160th Anniversary by counting down 60 days until the opening of the Fair on July 12 with “60 Days of Giveaways”.

Beginning this week, and everyday leading up to the Fair, anyone 18 years or older is invited to visit www.bigfun.org and enter for the chance to win one of the daily prizes. Prize varies daily and include VIP Reserved Concert Seating, Concert Artist Meet & Greets, Grape & Gourmet Tickets, Unlimited Ride Wristbands, One Year Membership to California Family Fitness, an iPad and more.
The 2013 State Fair promises food and fun for all families offering 75 free kids activities daily. For the Foodies, all of the deep fried favorites will be there, in addition to healthy alternatives like grilled fish and shrimp State Fair Tacos. For the adventurous this year this is spaghetti ice cream! Thrilling rides include the all-new 100 high-flying feet of Vertigo, the White Water Log Flume and a Zip Line over the fairgrounds. Some of the exciting shows and exhibits include the chance to discover your superhero powers in the “Hall of Heroes”, eight days of Thoroughbred Racing, the Brewfest, Bull-riding, Wine Tasting, “The Farm” which will feature Urban and Suburban Gardening this year, of course the baby animals and 17 nights of free concerts.
