Oak Grove fishing derby Saturday

STOCKTON — San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation and the California State Department of Fish and Game will plant 2,700 pounds of trout at Oak Grove Regional Park for the 11th Annual Bob McMillen Memorial Fishing Tournament on Saturday, March 1. 

The event, as always, will occur rain or shine.

There is no registration fee for the event. A $5 fishing permit fee and valid fishing license are required for those sixteen (16) years of age or over. The $6 vehicle-parking fee will also apply. Participants must supply their own fishing equipment.

Prizes will be awarded in all categories. Registration closes at 10 a.m. The last weigh-in is at 12:30 p.m.
