Reconstruction plans for Colony Oak Elementary School are currently at the Division of State Architects office in Sacramento.
Ripon Unified Superintendent Sigrid ‘Ziggy’ Roberson provided her best guess at Monday’s school board meeting as to when the reviews will be completed.
“The first week of April. It might be sooner,” she said.
Trustees approved the Request For Proposals.
That’s the document now required for public schools  on lease-lease back contractor or firm for pre-construction services, Robeson said.
RUSD also went lease-lease back on the Weston Elementary School reconstruction of a few years ago.
The purpose for the RSP is to obtain information that will enable the district to select a contractor, using the best-value selection process under the state Ed code.
Colony Oak will be converted to a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) campus.
Plans were designed by WLC Architects, with construction budget projected at $8.8 million.
