Police arrests part of pressure on drug, gang activity in Ripon

The reassignment of an officer to the investigations division has helped the Ripon Police Department step up arrests.

Detectives on Wednesday at 11:24 a.m. went to the 700 block of Ripona Avenue to conduct a probation search.  Detectives contacted multiple subjects at the residence.  Two suspects were found to have outstanding felony warrants for their arrest.  The suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Craig Anthony Ross, 27, of Ripon was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on warrant charges that included identity theft, marijuana cultivation and receiving known stolen property.

Jessica Michelle Riemersma, 26, of Ripon was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on warrant charges that included identity theft and receiving known stolen property.

The on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. detectives from the Ripon Police Department responded to the 300 block of West Milgeo Avenue to conduct a probation search.  Detectives contacted one suspect who was found to have two outstanding traffic warrants for her arrest.  Abigail Linda Mendoza, 27, of Ripon was released on misdemeanor citations.

These proactive efforts are due to the recent reallocation of a patrol officer, to the investigations unit. Detectives are increasing proactive measures to reduce drug and gang crimes in the city.
