Ripon classified workers honored

The Ripon Unified School District recognized its Classified Employees of the Year.

At Monday’s school board meeting, Superintendent Bill Draa announced Lina Ureste, Maria Nunes, Jose Villalta and Carrie Gatti for their outstanding commitment and dedication for the current school year.

Ureste is at Park View School, where she’s a bilingual aide in the area of Paraprofessional.

Nunes earned her praise in the area of Child Nutrition. She works in Food Service at Ripon Elementary School.

As the building custodian at Park View, Villalta was honored for his efforts in the area of Maintenance, Operations and Facilities.

Gatti, who is at Weston School, was tops in the district in the area of Office and Technical.

The Classified Employee of the Year program recognizes the contributions of those in their respective school district.

The San Joaquin County Office of Education recently announced its top classified employees, with a special event planned for June 12 at the county facilities in Stockton.
