Main Street at Manteca’s southern city limits will be closed for at least two months.

The closure is to allow Teichert Construction to install a deep sewer line and a sewer force main at a point south of Legacy Street to 1,200 feet to the south.

Traffic is being detoured down Union Road to reach rural addresses south of the city.

The closure started Thursday.
