SACRAMENTO  (AP) — Police in Northern California say a burglary suspect might have gotten away if he hadn’t gotten sleepy.

The Sacramento Bee reports 68-year-old Daniel Chaconas was arrested Saturday after napping in a shed behind the Sacramento home that he allegedly robbed.

A resident called police after finding the snoozing suspect.

Officers later determined that before taking the nap, Chaconas had broken into the house and eaten some food.

He was awakened when the resident returned home.

Chaconas was booked in the Sacramento County Jail for burglary.
