SOLANA BEACH (AP) — Authorities say a man has died after stepping off the back of an RV ladder on a California freeway.
California Highway Patrol Officers tell KSWB-TV that witnesses say the man was hanging off the back steps of the RV Monday night before stepping into traffic on San Diego Interstate 5. CHP Sgt. Curtis Martin says witness think the man’s actions appeared intentional.
Martin says the man was run over by at least two big rigs and two passenger vehicles.
CHP officers are trying to find the RV driver because it didn’t stop after the man was run over. Martin says it’s not clear if the driver knew the man was aboard the RV.
