Early Christmas morning, 2018, Art Cabral peacefully passed away at age 92.

  Art was born in Dixon, California on January 30, 1926 to Anna and Joseph Cabral. He was a long time Manteca resident, farmer and real estate businessman.  On May 4, 1952 he married Celeste Teixeira and raised two sons Kevin and Brian.

  He loved sports, traveling, real estate, and farming.  He was an avid Oakland A’s fan, watching nearly every game of the season. Farming grapes and almonds was both a business and hobby. Art enjoyed traveling, visiting well over 20 countries, from his ancestral homeland of Portugal to nearly every state.

  Art was preceded in death by his parents Anna and Joseph, and his seven brothers and sisters, Emily, Mary, Emil, Manual, Ida, Augusta, and Anthony.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Celeste, his two sons, Kevin and Brian, four grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews. A rosary will be conducted at 9am January 4, 2019 at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, CA 95337, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca, CA 95336.

  As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Anthony’s School Scholarship Fund in Manteca or Bethany Home Ripon.
