Bernice F Decker, born January 3, 1922, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Sammy G. and Vassie M. Aulds passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018.

   Bernice is survived by two daughters, Maya Decker of Portal, Arizona and Phyllis Thompson of Tracy, California.  Three grandchildren Pauline Thompson,  Casey Thompson and Cory Decker.  And seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  

   She was proceeded in death by her husband Phil Decker, her son Sam Decker and her granddaughter Tammy Thompson.  

   Bernice worked at many jobs during her long life the last was at California Water Service where she worked for 29 years in the office. The last year there she bid on and received the position of meter maintenance worker where she worked side by side with men half her age. After her retirement, Bernice traveled, loved her bowling, and a visit occasionally to the casinos on the bus.  She also volunteered and was a proud member of Manteca’s SHARPES,  from 2009 to 2012.

   Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA. 95204.
