George H. Clark, Jr. passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 in Jackson, California, at the age of 79 years.  

He was born October 26, 1929 to George, Sr. and Josephine (Wenstrom) Clark in Lewiston, Idaho.  

George was a very gifted musician and played the Alto Saxophone for the troops during his service time in the Korean War.  After the war he became a hardware salesman by day and musician by night.  It was during a gig in San Francisco that he met an attractive young woman who loved to dance, Bonnie Dresser. They were married March 1, 1959 in San Francisco. They lived in Contra Costa County until 1980 when they moved to Manteca.

George loved music, he was a sports enthusiast, but his greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren. He was infamous for his breakfasts and his sense of humor along with his in-depth discussions about music.  He will be missed by not only his family but also those who were touched by his quick wit.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura Clark and husband David Pincus of Jackson, Pamela Jones and husband Stan of Sacramento; stepchildren, Lynda Maguet and husband Dennis of Salinas, Jim Etherington and wife Jane of Concord; sister, Sandy Harlan; grandchildren, Lisa Kaysinger, Kimberly Cota, John Etherington, Jacqueline Etherington, Daniel Clark, Lindsay Jones, Drake Jones; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Matthew, Rashelle and Sammantha. He was preceded by his wife of 41 years, Bonnie, in 2000.

At his request there will be no public services.  Inurnment will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to Amador Diabetes Association, 2720 Gateway Oaks Dr., Ste. 110, Sacramento, CA  95833. Condolences may be offered via email to the family at danerimortuary@sbcglobal.net Arrangements have been entrusted to Daneri Mortuary in Jackson.
