Hermilo “Rod” Flores Rodriguez

On November, 7, 1947, Hermilo Flores Rodriguez was born in the home of the parents of his mother in Del Rio, Val Verde County, in the State of Texas. His parents, Homero Adan Rodriguez, Sr. and Mercedes Flores Rodriguez had four sons. Hermilo was the oldest. In 1954, his parents purchased a home in Stockton setting roots for the family. In June 1965, Hermilo graduated from Franklin High School, Stockton, CA.
   After graduation, Hermilo worked as a warehouse worker (Fork Lift operator) position on Rough and Ready Island in Stockton until in February 8, 1966, he was hired at Defense Depot Tracy. Hermilo Rodriguez and Jamie Wyrick met at the depot in 1967.  They married on June 14,1969, at St. Linus in Stockton, California. Rod worked his way up to various lead and then Supervisor positions at Defense Depot, Tracy, California until he retired with 33 years of service. November 7, 2002, he relocated to the central coast in Santa Maria, California.  There he enjoyed the remainder of his retirement years.
   Hermilo “Rod” was preceded in death by newborn sister named Ana Maria passed on November 9, 1945, his father Homero Adan Rodriguez Sr., passed on September 1, 1966, his mother Mercedes Flores, passed on September 13, 1989, his brother, Hector John Rodriguez, passed on September 1, 2012, and his brother Homero Flores Rodriguez, passed in September 11, 2018.
   He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jamie Wyrick-Rodriguez, his daughter Monda Silva and husband, David Silva, grandson Ada, and his daughter Natalie McFadin and husband Steven McFadin and granddaughter, Stephanie McFadin, his brother Virgil Rodriguez, nieces and nephews and other family members residing in California and in Texas.
