Johanna Baker, 95, died on Tuesday, February 9. Johanna was born in Platte, SD, to Henry and Jennie Woudstra. She was the middle child of nine children.

She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Ripon since 1928, where she served her Lord in various capacities. She loved her family and all of her church family. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering and reading her Bible. She was loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her very much.

She is survived by her daughters, Jane (Sam) Weststeyn, Henrietta (Bill) Hale, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Nellie DeVries, Minnie Maliepaard, and  Margaret Van Elderen, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Baker, parents Henry and Jennie Woudstra and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

 The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Bethany Home, 930 W. Main Street Ripon CA 95366; Ripon Christian Schools 435 N. Maple Ripon CA 95366, and First Christian Reformed Church 305 Boesch Drive Ripon CA 95366.

Visitation will be held at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 12, from 2 to 5 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Ripon Cemetery on Saturday, February 13, at 1 p.m. with the Memorial service on Saturday, February 13, at 2 p.m. at First Christian Reformed Church.
