Born on August 4, 1961, Johnny Mendoza, 61, entered into rest on May 12, 2023 in Manteca, Ca.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Rachel Mendoza and his beloved wife Carol Mendoza. Johnny is survived by his two daughters, Kelly and Katie Mendoza, siblings, Diamond Kinlaw, Molly Hofman, Louise Warmerdam, Genevieve Braley and Sam Mendoza and many other extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Johnny was a lifetime resident of Manteca and graduated from Manteca High School in 1979. After 35 years of service, Johnny retired from PG&E. While at PG&E he served as a reserve officer for the Livermore PD for many years. After retirement, Johnny then went back to work as a Business Agent for the IBEW Union and finally retired in 2020. An easygoing family man; Johnny loved having fun nicknames for each of the kids and enjoyed family gatherings. He was always up to a good prank and loved laughing with others. Some of his favorite past times were hunting, fishing and taking his annual trips to Alaska. Although a reserved man, Johnny was quite social at times, he loved traveling to Reno and Tahoe and knew all the casino employees by name and even brought them gifts when visiting. Johnny will be remembered for his giving heart, his kind spirit and his unconditional love he had for his daughters.  He will be missed by all who loved and cared for him.
