Laura Caetano Barrett, 92, entered into rest on October 16, 2019. Laura was the third of five daughters born to the late Frank and Anna Caetano.    She is preceded in death by her first husband, July Delgado; her second husband, Edwin Barrett; her daughter, Jeannette Silva and  her sisters, Margaret Spangenberg, Mary Gillig and Jean Nobles.
   Laura is survived by her children, Gilbert Delgado (Linda) and Jeff Delgado (Tammy), her five
grandchildren, Karyn Kildahl, Nick Delgado, Nicole Delgado, Brett Delgado and Reianna Delgado, and her sister Leonore Sanchez.
   Laura worked as a cook at Logan High School, in Union City, and then went on to work in an electronics lab at National Semiconductor in Santa Clara until she retired. Laura loved to travel
and went on memorable adventures, but she was happiest when spending time with family and friends at home. She looked forward to holidays and gatherings sponsored by her local
neighborhood of retirees. Laura had a feisty sense of humor, a generous heart, a pride in her Portuguese heritage, and a no-nonsense approach to life. She will be missed immensely.
   A visitation will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 5–7 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N .Union Rd., Manteca, CA. Funeral Mass will be on
Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19399 Hwy 120, Ripon, CA. Laura will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. An online guest book is
