Oliver Carl Teer, 94, entered into rest on March 27, 2009 in Manteca, California. He was born on June 12, 1914 in Post, Texas. He was preceded by his beloved wife Almeda Teer.

Mr. Teer is survived by his children; Vivian Guire of Nothport Al., Treva Woods of Boonvill, Ark., Genetha Adolf of Manteca, Sarah Danelenko of Manteca, Elaine Robesky of Mt. View. His siblings are Charlene Haynie of Lubbock, TX, Pete Graves of Lubbock, TX, Bob Graves of Lubbock, TX, Cletus Graves of Lubbock, TX. Grandchildren are Darrell Fletcher, Brian Fletcher, Linda Fletcher, Steven Fox, Chris Fox, Nicole Samarano, David Foster, Malon Guire, Jerry Guire, Charles Guire, Timothy Woods, Sherri Woods, and Robert Woods. He was also blessed by 18 great-grandchildren and was a great-grandfather to six generation.

Oliver lived and worked in Texas, then moved to California in 1947 and built a home for his family. Shortly after moving to California started his own welding and sheet metal company, HTH MFG. In addition Oliver helped establish and build a local church in Manteca. He loved to fish, camp and visit family and friends across the U.S. Gardening was a way of relaxing for Oliver. He kept a huge garden in their home in Lathrop for 30 years. He will be remembered as a great Christian friend, neighbor, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Mr. Teer’s arrangements are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, at 1 p.m. at Farmington Cemetery, 5255 S. Escalon Bellota Road, Farmington. A memorial will be held on Saturday, April 18, at 11 a.m. at Church of Christ, 600 N. Milgeo in Ripona.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Cancer Society or Hospice of San Joaquin. Flowers will also be accepted at P.L .Fry & Son Funeral Home.
