Born on July 19,1933 in Glasgow, Scotland, Robert Phillips entered into rest on January 1, 2019 in Manteca, CA at the age 85.

   He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Phillips, daughters, Audrey Parker (Bruce Parker), Rhonda Geer (Robert Geer Jr.) and Glenda Windham (Keith Windham), grandchildren, Robert and Samuel Saberniak, David, Christopher, Vivian, Nicholas and Jessica Greene, Ashley Menezes, Gilbert and Austin Borba, Nikki and Kaylee Geer, Vanessa Windham, Paris and Bryce Newberry,  and beloved sisters, Jean Forrest and Rosemary Cahill of Glasgow, Scotland. Survived by in-laws Grace and Joe Head, Agnes and Jim Hutchinson, Betty and John Curran, and numerous nieces and nephews.  And best friends Joe and Dianne Savides.

Robert was also the proud great grandfather of seven children.

   Robert was devoted to the love of his life, Jean.  They made their home in Manteca for the last 54 years raising their family and actively participating in the community. Robert was an avid soccer fan and a competitive soccer player until the age of 74. He also enjoyed playing golf and enjoyed playing with friends and family. He helped to establish the Rangers High-Comp division of the Manteca Area Soccer League. Robert and his wife Jean have been members of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for over 53 years. Robert enjoyed many years as a Door Keeper that helped to maintain the grounds of the church and facilities.

   A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 12,  2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 910 E. North Street,  Manteca, CA 95336
