Warren Tilley, 88, entered into rest on December 1, 2009 in Manteca, California. He was born on September 24, 1921 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Roxie Tilley.  Mr. Tilley was the baby of 14 siblings and joins all of them in heaven as well as his late wife Juanita Tilley, his son Andy Tilley, and granddaughter Tracey Tilley. Warren was a Lathrop resident for over 44 years.

Mr. Tilley is survived by his beloved daughter Pat Grever and her husband Ray of Manteca. He has one granddaughter, Julie Tuck, and husband Randy of Manteca. In addition Warren was blessed by 7 great-grandchildren: Brittany and Kaitlyn Tuck, Richard, Scottie, Joshua, Cody, and Mark Carroll. He also had many nieces, nephews and extended family members whom he loved deeply.

Warren served his country proudly in the US Army as a young man. After serving in the Army Warren was employed by the US government as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Sharpe Army Depot. He retired after 32 years of service. He was an active member of the Lathrop Worship Center formerly known as The Pentecostal Tabernacle Church of God. Warren was a devoted family man. Being a hands-on grandfather, Warren raised three generations including nieces and nephews. Some of Warren’s favorites were fishing, camping and cheering on his S.F. 49ers. Warren will be remembered as a caring man who had a huge heart. He will be missed.

Mr. Tilley’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m.. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Both visitation and services are being held at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, California. He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife at Park View Cemetery privately.
