William E. Witke, 77, entered into rest on January 20, 2017 in Stockton, California. He was born on May 22, 1939 in Los Angeles, California.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife of over 58 years, Charlotte Witke, his daughter Debbie Huckabone of Livermore, California, grandchildren Clifton Duffus (Alivia) of Livermore, California, Shandra Witke of Connecticut, his great granddaughter Caylee Duffus, and a great grandson due in June.
He is preceded to heaven by his parents Russell and Isabel Witke, his son William Kevin Witke and his brother, Kenneth Witke.
Bill was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Downey High School in Downey, California. He married his high school sweetheart, Char. Bill was a real family man. Throughout his children’s growing years, the family traveled, camped, boated and water skied. One of his passions was flying. He got his license, bought a Cessna 172 and he and Char flew many places. Bill worked 32 years at Mother Cookies. He retired in 2001, moved to Ripon and became a member at the Spring Creek Country Club. We will all miss his wonderful smile. We would like to commend Kindred Valley Gardens in Stockton for the excellent and compassionate care Bill received during his passing. Also, we want to thank our family and friends for their prayers, cards, food, phone calls and especially their love they have given us during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. For condolences to the family, please visit his online guestbook at www.deeganfuneralchapels.
