Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

As a resident of the Manteca area for the past 50 years, I would like to express my appreciation to the out-going city council members for a job well done. The City of Manteca has prospered under the leadership of Willie Weatherford, John Harris, and Vince Hernandez. They are to be commended for a job well done.

I would also like to congratulate the new council members Mike Morowit and Rich Silverman. I am sure they will continue the good work of their predecessors. It seems there exists a perfect opportunity to bridge forward with the appointment of Vince Hernandez as a fifth council member. In a close election this would ensure that the will of the people has been carried out.

I am a concerned citizen and I feel that this appointment would help maintain continuity.
