What are you doing this weekend?

You should be dancing, yeah! If you are a dad, uncle, grandpa, or you simply have a very special princess close to  you, take her on a “date” at the second annual “Ties and Tiaras” Father-Daughter Dance on Friday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane. Every little girl loves dressing up so let her put her best dress (or Elsa costume) on and take her to a fun night full of dancing and giggling. In addition to music, there will be refreshments. Reflections Photography will be there to take photos available for purchase. Isn’t this a sweet idea? Price: Advance tickets are $20 per couple, $5 for each additional daughter. Tickets at the door are $30 per couple, $8 for each additional daughter.  Learn more at http://bit.ly/1LJ6QAJ

It’s a fundraiser that encompasses the beauty and passion that the dance community is all about. LOVE:CURE Modesto is a part of two simultaneous events raising money for Beats Drop Cancer. Head over to Fat Cat Music House and Lounge (930 11th Street, Modesto) on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 9 p.m. to have fun to the beats of Reid Speed, Dirt Cheap, Nick Phoenyx and DJ Arnie. The other event is in Las Vegas, so let’s show them how the Central Valley can party for a good thing! Hosted by Manteca’s very own Daniel Rita, sit back and enjoy a special treat from his fabulous Beauty Intoxication team - hair, fashion and makeup. Explore the art of Laurence Gartel or try live painting with Joaquin Sorro. It’s going to be fun. Proceeds from this event support Beats Drop Cancer benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It’s powered by The Cynthesis Agency and the PlayItFWD initiative which encourages artists to donate their time and talent to charitable causes and fundraisers.
