Those that don’t want to pay $25 to hear Manteca’s State of the City on April 29 at the downtown Veranda Events Center have two other options .

They can watch it live — or via replay — on the city’s website or take advantage of a free remote viewing option at the City Council chambers, 1001 W. Center St.

Mayor Gary Singh will deliver the keynote address touching on the city’s progress, priorities, and what is coming down the road. There will also be others speaking on how the Manteca economy is progressing.

The Manteca Chamber of Commerce, which is cosponsoring the event with the city, will be presenting three concerns with the organization’s annual Business Enhancement Awards.

The businesses are Retro Pie, Big O Tires, and Joe Villegas Group – CrossCountry Mortgage.

Tickets are $25 for the Wednesday, April 29, event that starts at 4 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m. The tickets are available for purchase via the chamber website at manteca.org.

The 2026 State of the City will mark the debut of the “Make it Manteca” marketing and business attraction campaign.

The campaign will include website and social media components to promote:

*the advantages of doing business in a growing city with growing household income buying power.

*the strategic advantages of locating distribution centers and other ventures in Manteca.

Organizers expect the venue to be sold out. With 500 seats, it is more than double the previous venue at the Great Wolf Indoor Waterpark resort.

The State of the City will also showcase the services and success stories of various municipal departments during this year’s State of the City.
