Steady rise in Ripon Unifieds enrollment

Ripon Unified’s enrollment figures continued its steady rise during the early parts of the 2017-18 school year.

Elected leaders received those latest numbers at their Nov. 20 meeting.

For the month of September, RUSD was up 15 students from the previous day, going from 3,142 (2016-17) to the current 3,175.

Ripona Elementary School experienced a significant jump from that of the other sites, growing by 25 more students from the previous year, from 390 of a year ago to 415.

Ripon Elementary School experienced a slight increase in growth – from 468 in 2016-17 to 471 in 2017-18 – and Ripon High boasting 910 students.

RHS had an enrollment of 898, according to the 2016 figures.

As for the other RUSD sites, Weston Elementary School (423), Colony Oak Elementary School (431), and Park View Elementary School (465) continued to post strong enrollment figures for the full month of this school year.

At the alternative education sites, Harvest High, RUSD’s continuation school, had 29 students for this past September – up nine from a year ago at this time – while the Independent Study program had 13 students.
