Dolphins impress during tri-meet

The Manteca Dolphins swim team hosted a tri-meet with the Tracy Tritons and the Modesto Sharks Saturday at Sierra High and a number of Manteca Swimmers turned in some impressive finishes.


Maverick Lin and Ty Wells both won every event they competed in.


Lin took home gold in the 100 free, the 50 back and the 50 free, while Wells was tops in the 100 IM, the 50 fly and the 50 breast.


Mallory Brubaker took first in the 50 free and the 25 fly, while placing runner-up in the 25 free.


Vanessa Flores bested the competition in the 100 IM and the 50 back, while taking second in the 100 free, and Darrel Yamamura took first in the 50 back and 50 breast, and second in the 50 free.


Janette Thomas claimed gold in the 50 free and 50 breast, and was second-best in the 100 fly.


Finally, Lane Fishburn captured gold in the 50 fly and 50 free, while claiming bronze in the 100 IM.


Over 400 swimmers took part in the action Saturday at Sierra.


The Dolphins head to Turlock this weekend for the Sea Dog Invitational at Pitman High.


Over 600 swimmers will compete.
