Giovanni Marin poured in four goals in Manteca’s 7-1 romp over visiting Sierra Tuesday at Guss Schmiedt Field, but only one of them scores will be remembered.

Marin blasted in a goal in the second half with a bicycle kick. His brother, Ricardo, contributed a goal and an assist.

Niko Gonzalez recorded a pair of assists, while Cesar Reyes and Cameron Crippen added a goal each.

Manteca improved to 2-0 in the Valley Oak League, 6-0 overall.

“It’s always a tough challenge to play Sierra,” Manteca coach Geno Geerlof said. “It was the first time we got to play them here at the stadium instead of Curran Park, and that made a big difference.”
