After a successful run in the Valley Oak League this past spring, Ripon’s girls golf team is back in the Valley Foothill League to defend its North Division title from 2019.

Gabbi Ilardi and the Indians picked up where they left off, scoring a 151 in a forfeit win over Summerville. Ilardi finished even par 31 as she looks to repeat as Sac-Joaquin Section Division V champion and VFL North Most Outstanding Player.

“Last week in a practice match she shot a two under 29,” Ripon coach Eric Dambrosio said. “Her game has improved from last year. She has put a lot of work into her swing and short game.”

Fourth-year senior Zoe Bremer added a 35, and sophomore Katie Martin a 40. Vivian Parsons and Ana DiGuilo each scored a 45, while Aaliyah Martinez had a 50.

Cielo Bueno turned in a 49 to lead Summerville, which did not field the requisite four players for a team score.

“Overall, our team looks very competitive this year,” Dambrosio said. “They all want to improve their games and show up to practice ready to work hard.”
