RIPON — Ripon’s girls golf team remains undefeated heading into the Valley Foothill League’s North Division mid-year tournament after beating Summerville 143-205 on Thursday.
It’s the Indians’ best score of the season at Jack Tone Golf Course despite windy conditions.
“Their hard work and dedication is paying off,” Ripon coach Eric Dambrosio said. “As a coach, it’s nice to see that they have improved and their scores are reflecting that. Our mid-year tournament is this Monday. Hopefully we can continue our good play.”
There has been no slowing down for freshman Gabbi Ilardi, who led all players with a ¬3-over 34. Bianca Toledo and Zoe Bremer each had a 36, while Kassidy Isham finished with a 37. Myra Toledo carded one of Ripon’s throw-out scores, but her solid 39 was still better than Emily Walters’ — Summerville’s top performer with a 43.
The league tournament will take place at Micke Grove Golf Links in Lodi.

Amaya Terry, Alexa Ortiz-McCollum and Sophia Serrano netted one goal each.
“The girls team played one of the best games of the season,” coach Brian Keeney said. “Offensively, we had eight first-quarter shots but were unable to convert. The girls showed a great deal of heart and played a phenomenal game from start to finish.”
