MODESTO  (AP) — Jacob Heyward hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th inning to lead the San Jose Giants to a 3-2 win over the Modesto Nuts on Monday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Giants and a three-game winning streak for the Nuts.

Jalen Miller scored the go-ahead run on the sacrifice fly after he started the inning on second and advanced to third on a single by Wander Franco.

Peter Lannoo got Beau Branton to fly out with a runner on third to end the game for his first save of the season.

The Giants had three relievers combine to throw five scoreless innings in the victory. Joey Marciano (1-4) got the win with three innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Anthony McIver (0-4) took the loss in the California League game.
