STOCKTON (AP) — Nate Mondou hit two home runs and drove in five runs, as the Stockton Ports defeated the San Jose Giants 15-5 on Tuesday.
Mondou hit a two-run shot in the fifth inning off Joey Marciano and then hit a three-run homer in the seventh off Rodolfo Martinez. William Toffey homered and singled in the win.
Stockton left-hander Evan Manarino (2-2) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on five hits over six innings. Opposing starter Marciano (0-1) took the loss in the California League game after a rough outing in which he allowed seven runs and eight hits over 4 1/3 innings.
