SAN BERNARDINO (AP) — Brallan Perez had three hits and scored three runs as the Stockton Ports beat the Inland Empire 66ers 9-5 on Wednesday.
Stockton went up 6-0 in the second after Sandber Pimentel hit a two-run single as part of a five-run inning.
The Ports later tacked on three runs in the fourth, including a single by Nate Mondou that scored Perez.
Inland Empire missed an additional scoring opportunity in the sixth, when Brandon Marsh grounded out with the bases loaded to end the inning.
Stockton starter Xavier Altamirano (3-0) picked up the win despite allowing five runs and nine hits over 5 1/3 innings. Opposing starter Erik Manoah (1-7) took the loss in the California League game after giving up six runs and eight hits over 1 2/3 innings.
For the 66ers, Alberto Triunfel doubled and singled.
