Revolution race past Wolves in second half

The Revolution scored three unanswered goals in the second half to get past the Wolves 5-2 in Manteca Area Soccer League play this weekend.

Arturo Galvan, Anthony Ramirez, Isaiah Flores, Grant Cross, and Grant Silva each scored goals. Galvan and Cody Niford were credited with assists.

The game was tied 1-1 at the half, with both teams matching goals early in the second half.

Gabriel Ortega, Alex Stearns, Ashur Kanja, and Anthony Ramirez set the tempo on defense for the Revolution. Jeremy Hopkins, Rafael Chacon, Kyle Dorland, Garrett Cross, Grant Silva and Ulises Leos provided midfield support.

Zachary Duran played goalie in the first half. Daniel Silva anchored the position in the second half.

Predators 6, Extreme Rage 2

Turf Dawgs 5, Rage 2 (double header)

The Extreme Rage was swept by the Predators and Turf Dawgs, respectively, in a double header.

In the opener, the Rage and Predators were locked in a 2-2 tie in the first half – Joshua Valdez accounted for the two Rage goals as Michael Arriola getting credited for an assist – with the Predators managing to reel off four goals.

Goal keeper Logan Richardson had 12 first-half saves. Arriola had 10 second-half saves.

Isaiah Soto, Valdez and Arriola were praised for their efforts on offense. Harenvir Braich and Marques Sy provided support for the goalies.

Arriola and Zachary Todd accounted for the Rage scoring in the rubber match against the Turf Dawgs.

The Rage trailed 3-0 in the first half.

Devin Cisneros and Cody Cronin were praised for their efforts on attacking the ball and providing pressure on the Turf Dawgs.

Soto, Valdez, Richardson, Arriola and Todd accounted for the 14 shots at goal for the Rage.

Defensively, Erik Rodriguez, Braich and Sy received recognition for their efforts.

Under-19 girls

Fury 3, Galaxy 1

A pair of second-half goals propelled the Fury past the Galaxy.

Tied 1-1 at the half, the Fury pushed through with the go-ahead score and an insurance goal as provided by Joanna Martinez via corner kicks.

Carla Ochoa scored the first goal set up Anna Arriola.

All told, the Rage had 25 goal attempts as delivered by Adrianna Hernandez, Anna Mascarelli, Ashna Singh, Carla Ochoa, Carly Thissen, Jessica Milobar, Teresa Morales, Arriola and Martinez.

Hernandez and Estrella Morales were praised as the game’s outstanding players.

Ochoa, Anna Arriola and Georgia Arriola sparked the defense.

Taylor Gray at goalie had 15 saves.
