STOCKTON (AP) — Steven Duggar homered and had four hits, and Garrett Williams pitched six scoreless innings as the San Jose Giants topped the Stockton Ports 12-5 on Wednesday.
Williams (2-0) allowed two hits while striking out eight and walking two to get the win.
San Jose took the lead in the first when it put up three runs, including a solo home run by Duggar.
The Giants later added seven runs in the second and two in the sixth to put the game out of reach.
Brendan Butler (4-4) went 1 2/3 innings, allowing eight runs and seven hits in the California League game. He also struck out two and walked two.
