WESTON RANCH — Sierra head coach Jeff Williams estimated winds at 35 to 40 miles-per-hour Tuesday afternoon at Van Buskirk Golf Course, where the Timberwolves downed Weston Ranch, 215-263.
Despite the blustery conditions, Sierra was as consistent as ever.
Joey Matts finished with a 41, Michael Hajenga a 42 and Paul Michaleto a 43.
Luis Zepeda had a 44, Miguel Dominguez a 45 and Sammy Matts a 50 for the throw-out.
“The weather was the worst we’ve played in,” Williams said. “A lot of shots had to be right on today, branches were breaking off and blowing around.
“Considering the conditions, the kids did a great job.”
Ryan Ortiz paced the Cougar effort with a 42.
Tim Weatherwax had a 52, James Aragon a 53 and Darrell Narcisse a 54.
Thomas Medrios had a 62, and Freddy Rayray finished with a 73.
Sierra (11-0 Valley Oak League, 13-0) takes on East Union at Manteca Park Thursday.
