Upwards of 250 new jobs are being generated through five food-related businesses opening in the coming months in The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley across from the Bass Pro Shops.
The 5,735-square-foot Red Robin Gourmet Burgers opening later this month is hiring 100 employees. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to work on the casual dining restaurant chain that serves guests a variety of high-quality gourmet burgers, appetizers, entrees, salads and beverages in a family-friendly atmosphere.
“We’re looking for team members who can offer great guest service in a family-friendly restaurant,” said Mitch Kitner, general manager of the Manteca Red Robin restaurant. “Our goal at every Red Robin restaurant is to cultivate and maintain an in-restaurant environment that inspires upbeat and respectful team members, allowing us to put our guests’ needs first.”

This spring Buffalo Wings and Rings will open immediately to the west of the Red Robin Gourmet Burgers restaurant.
The bar and grill sports restaurant has locations in Modesto, Rancho Cucamonga, and Elk Grove. The Cincinnati-based chain also has restaurants in 13 others states including New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois and Arizona.
The menu includes soups, salads, starters, wings and tenders, gyros, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, ribs, and desserts. They also offer an express lunch menu.
Three other eating establishments have submitted tenant improvement plans for the line of buildings immediately west of the Kerasotes Showplace Theatre and across from Red Robin. They are Matsui Sushi, Subway, and a yogurt shop. In addition a nail salon is opening up next to the Manteca Visitors Center around the corner on Grove Street.
Craig Realty, which is securing tenants for the portion of Orchard Valley that is being dedicated to the Lifestyle Outlets at Manteca, has firms signed but is being tight-lipped. The first stores are expected to open in the spring.
Ultimately there will be up to 46 outlet stores at the complex.
There is space for three more food-orientated businesses near Red Robin.
There are also three other free standing pads for sit-down restaurants in the southwest corner of the lifestyle center generally south of JC Penney.
The Hampton Inn Suites is expected to open later this month.
