Paul Jamison of the Paragon comic book series is coming to Manteca on Saturday.

The writer and owner of the Superhero Network Entertainment Group – better known as SHN – will be at Fantastic Collectibles, 162 W. Center St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Owners Richard Simas Sr. and Richard Simas Jr. met Jamison at last month’s Sac-Con.

He just released Paragon #3, which will be available for sale at Fantastic Collectible. Jamison will be on hand to autograph copies of the comic book along with other related items.

Paragon #3 continues to follow Ben, a young man who is originally from a dimension free of poverty, sickness and, for the most part, unhappiness.

He’s pulled from that dimension into one of crime, disease and misery after the death of his father.

As the writer of Paragon #3 – art by Gilbert Dudley – Jamison tackles on a variety of issues, including the dangers that guns pose on society.

Paragon #3 has received plenty of rave reviews.

“Some of the best indie work being done in comics right now,” said The Lane Box.

Fan boy Comics added: “Overall, Paragon continues to provide an interesting narrative and perspective on social topics, and I am curious to know what Ben has in mind as he continues to better his new world.”
