What’s sweeter than Toot Sweets?
That’s the bakery / café at 4755 Quail Lakes Drive #D in Stockton where everything is made from scratch using the finest ingredients.
“Toot Sweets uses no mixes and nothing artificial,” according to its website, www.tootsweetsbakery.com.
Need a cake to celebrate that special occasion?
Toot Sweets has a variety of choices, from chocolate, yellow, spice, German chocolate, carrot, or lemon poppy seed.
Top that off with a choice of frostings – sour cream chocolate, vanilla, mocha buttercream or whipped cream – and fillings, including raspberry, cherry, blueberry, lemon, pastry cream and fresh strawberries when in season.
Natalie of Manteca was there back in May to purchase just that for her mother. “The best chocolate cake,” she posted on Yelp.
Toot Sweets also carries other sweet treats such as scones, cheese Danish, bear claws, muffins, and sticky buns.
The original place opened in 1975 in Berkeley.
