Ripon could be making room for another self-storage facility.
A request to develop a 3.4-acre site to accommodate 272-unit storage structure with varying unit sizes was recently received by the City of Ripon’s Department of Planning & Economic Development.
The project location is at 700 Parallel Ave.
The total square footage of the units would be 48,675 with the entrance being one gated access point on Parallel Ave.
Plans also call for kiosk to be connected to a 300 square foot office that would also operate the gate.
According to Department of Planning, the applicant is proposing three parking stalls in which one would be ADA accessible.
The project referral is scheduled to be included in the Nov. 17 Planning Commission for approval.
All appropriated comments or conditions of approval can be submitted to the Planning Department no later than 2 p.m. on Nov. 8.
