The Parents-Teachers Group at St. Anthony’s Catholic School will host a Barn Dance on Friday, May 6.

This will be the first big fundraiser benefiting the school since COVID-19 pandemic halted such gatherings in recent years, according to Cheryl Behler, who is one of the PTG organizers.

The Barn Dance is a family-fun event and will be held outdoors on St. Anthony’s grass field, from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

It’s all-you-can-eat ribs and tri-tip beef along with baked beans, salad and a roll.

A deejay will be there, playing Country music while youngsters can enjoy outside games and bouncing around on the inflatable play equipment.

Cost is $40 for adults, $20 for children.

Proceeds will help pay for upgrades to playground equipment such as the basketball court, reseeding of the grass field, and providing new books in library, to name a few.

In addition, there will be a silent auction for goodies on the dessert bar.

St. Anthony’s is located at 323 N. Fremont Ave., Manteca.
