Karen Joy (Clark) Smith passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, and went home to be with the Lord.

Karen was born on April 8, 1954, in Livermore, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Dolores Clark.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Smith; her children, Justin Smith (Danielle), Tracee Franks (Brad), and Jameson Smith; her sisters, Linda Almazan (Ken Meyers) and Nancy Jones (Wayne); and her six cherished grandchildren: Julia Franks, Corey Franks, Mikayla Smith, AllyMae Smith, LilyAnn Smith, and Jaime Smith.

A devoted Christian, Karen faithfully served at Calvary Community Church, where she led the MOMS Ministry and Women’s Ministry, sang in the choir, and founded the Women’s Tea Ministry.

Karen will be remembered for her steadfast faith, compassion, strength, and love for her family. Her greatest joy was encouraging others and pointing them toward Christ.

A Memorial Service celebrating Karen’s life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honor her memory.
