Violent crimes in Manteca during the first six months of 2026 numbered 110.
That’s down 20 from the same six-month period last year.
Meanwhile, Manteca Police handled 682 property crimes between Jan. 1 and June 30 compared to 573 in the first six months of 2025.
The crimes that went up from 2025 to 2026 were:
*aggravated assault 77 to 78.
*larceny (non-violent theft) 298 to 403.
*auto theft 101 to 105.
*arson 10 to 11.
The crimes that went down from 2025 to 2026 were:
*homicide 1 to 0.
*rape 25 to 14.
*robbery (using force or threat of it) 27 to 18.
*burglary 164 to 163.
Total narcotics offenses went down going from 101 to 68.
Alcohol offenses went up going from 165 to 176.
Fraud offenses were up going from 104 to 114.
In June 2025 to June 2026 comparisons:
*property damage only accidents went from 81 to 87.
*injury accidents went from 13 to 22.
*driving while under the influence was the same each June at four and there were no fatal accidents.
*Moving violation traffic tickets went from 106 to 110.
*Non-moving violation traffic tickets dropped from 57 to 31.
*Parking violations went from 100 to 225.
