BEST OF THE BEST
MUSD student art exhibit, sale draws a crowd

Sydney Pham’s Teddy Bear art piece earned Best in Show at the annual art show.

Anthony Dahl was thrilled Tuesday evening to see the strong attendance numbers at the “Best of the Best” Student Art Exhibit & Sale.

He’s the Visual & Performing Arts Coordinator at the Manteca Unified School District.

For the first time in several years, this annual event held in the district office was back at full force. Two years ago – amid the COVID-19 pandemic – the “Best of the Best” was conducted online.

Last year’s event was held at the MUSD facility but on a smaller scale.

“This is very nice to see this turnout,” Dahl said.

Featured were the works students at Manteca High, East Union High, Sierra High, Weston Ranch High, Lathrop High, and Calla High.

Displayed were their finest efforts in Ceramics, AP 2D / 3D Art, Digital Photography, Intro to Art, Color & Design, Graphic Design, Film, Video Production, and Advanced Art.

The exhibit will remain open to the public during district office business hours throughout this week. Folks can stop by to view and also make a bid on the various art pieces.
