Doctors Hospital of Manteca announced the return of the Breast Cancer Support Group scheduled for Tuesday, July 20.

This free support group for both breast cancer patients and survivors will again meet in the Administrative Conference Room at the DHM facility, 1205 E. North St., beginning at 5 p.m.

The group that meets regularly once a month was placed on hold for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to hospital officials, the Breast Cancer Support Group not only provides support for patients and survivors, but those individuals with other types of cancer — all are welcome.

Such gatherings allow for people to share and communicate ideas and tips that have worked for them along way.

Members of the group, in addition, enjoy coming together and talking about their shared common fight in battling cancer.

They’re scheduled to meet on the third Tuesday of each month – future dates include Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 21.
