Ripon Unified now has a counselor at every school site while recently adding a music instructor and a pair of Spanish teachers.

Superintendent Ziggy Robeson reported the staffing update at Monday’s school board meeting.

RUSD also added 18 new hires.

Of that were five substitute teachers – Jessica Looney, Maria Naverette, Marcus Santana, Sabrina Schmier, and Ericka Vertar – and three food service subs in Kellie Atkins, Mayra Garcia and Ariceli Meza.

The Ripon After School Program, in addition, received plenty of new helpers in Mercedes Cuevas, Kylee Duree, Samiah Elsumn, Chham Pouv, Athena Perry, and Abigail Rangel, adding one yard duty person at Weston Elementary School (Nicole Camping) along with three Title 1 Instructional Aides at Ripona (Monica Gutierrez), Ripon Elementary (Melanie Houser Pagano) and the District Office (Maira Lujano).
