River Park South Dog Park just reopened.
The City of Lathrop announced Wednesday via social media that the dog park at 17801 Inland Passage Way had been temporary closed in order to complete irrigation repairs.
River Park South Dog Park is now available to residents and their pets from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. through the end of this month, and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from October through March.
“We appreciate the community’s patience while this important work was completed and encourage all visitors to follow posted rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone,” posted the City of Lathrop.

Robotics
The Interstellar STEM and Robotics Design. Build. Code is open for those ages 8 through 15.
They can dive into the world of robotics in these hands-on sessions consisting of teamwork, problem solving, and developing engineering and programming concepts in a fun environment.
Courses will be held each Saturday from Oct. 4 through Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lathrop Generations Center, 450 Spartan Way.

Fall Break Camp
The fall break for local schools is right around the corner.
For that, the City of Lathrop will be hosting a Fall Break Camp from Oct. 6 through Oct. 10 at the Lathrop Community Center, 15557 5th St., from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During the weeklong sessions, campers will be involved in a variety of activities, form making colorful autumn crafts to playing high-energy games.
Fall Break Camp will also provide a special on-site field trip.

Trunk-or-Treat
The annual Trunk-or-Treat is back on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Lathrop Generations Center, 450 Spartan Way, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The City of Lathrop, in partnership with No Limit Familia, is hosting this fun-filled family event sponsored by Phil Waterford’s Manteca Ford.
Trunk-or-Treat will once again feature a car decoration contest, a costume contest, a deejay and food trucks.
Youngsters who plan to attend are reminded to bring a bag, pillowcase, or bucket to collect candies.
