With Love Ripon just a month away, Andy Strickland recently met with the principals at each of Ripon Unified School District sites.
This year’s event consisting of volunteers who clean up or spruce up various projects throughout the community is April 30.
In recent years, Love Ripon has done such work at each of the elementary school playground areas and at Stouffer Field at Ripon High.
Strickland, who is RUSD Director of Facilities, Operations & Safety Services, is helping in coordinating this year’s project list.
He made a mention of that in his March 2022 Facilities Report at Monday’s school board meeting.
Strickland also met with Haley and Aldrich regarding plumbing issues at the water remediation plant at RHS along with the installation of small ice makers at each of the school sites and trenching and adding a live water line at Harvest High.
His staff also resolved irrigation issues at Colony Oak by doing repair work along with doing plenty of in-house work by handling various welding projects.
In addition, Strickland noted that new carpeting was installed last month at Weston Elementary and new Food Services’ generators from the Operation Yard were set on a concrete pad for mounting.
