Manteca Unified gears up for 2019 graduations

Students of the Manteca Community Young Adult Transition Program will kick off the 2019 pomp and circumstance on Thursday, May 16.

This special event recognizing those who have completed the program will take place at 10 a.m. in the Manteca Unified District Office Room 101, 2271 W. Louise Ave.

That’s just for starters.

On Friday, May 24, Calla High will conduct graduation at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at Calvary Community Church while New Vision High will do likewise at the same time inside the campus gym located next door to Weston Ranch High.

MUSD graduation / promotion schedule picks after that with eighth graders from the 20 elementary school sites conducting promotion exercises.

The schedule of events is as followed:

uTuesday, May 28, eighth-grade promotions – 10 a.m., August Knodt (gym), Joseph Widmer (cafeteria), Lathrop Elementary (gym), Neil Hafley (courtyard); 1 p.m., Woodward (gym); 4:30 p.m., Sequoia (gym); 6 p.m., Veritas (gym); 7 p.m., French Camp (gym); 7:30 p.m., Nile Garden (courtyard).

uWednesday, May 29, eighth-grade promotions – 10 a.m., George Komure (multi-pupose), Great Valley (main site gym), Joshua Cowell (quad), Lincoln (gym), Shasta (Hornet Nest); 6 p.m., Golden West (gym), McParland (courtyard), New Haven (gym); 7 p.m., Brock Elliott (Sierra High), Mossdale (gym), Stella Brockman (gym).

uThursday, May 30, high school graduations – 5 p.m., Be.Tech (MUSD plaza); 7 p.m., Lathrop High (Bennie Gatto Field), Sierra High (Daniel Teicheira Stadium).

uFriday, May 31, high school graduations – 7 p.m., Rast Union High (Dino Cunial Field), Manteca High (Guss Schmiedt Field), Weston Ranch High (Stockton Arena)

uThursday, June 6 – 6 p.m., Manteca Adult School (MUSD)
