Manteca Winter Fest — a nearly two-month long event — kicks off this Friday and runs through Jan. 19 at The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley.
The event at the shopping complex at the 120 Bypass and Union Road includes:
*an ice skating rink.
*a mini-town for kids (think Tiny Town, the popular small scale town attraction at Dell’Osso Family Farms during the annual Pumpkin Maze.
*inflatable playground.
*holiday events.
*winter treats.
Tickets are $25 with kids 3 and under free.
And the ability exists to make it part of your family holiday celebration.
Manteca Winter Fest is open both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day from 4 to 9 p.m. as well as New Year’s Day from noon to 9 p.m.
Open day hours on Friday, Nov. 21, are from 4 to 9 p.m.
Other hours this month are Nov. 22-26 (Saturday to Wednesday) from noon to 9 p.m. and Nov. 28-30 from noon to 9 p.m.
From Dec. 1-31, it is open Mondays to Thursdays from 4 to 9 p.m. and Fridays through Sundays from noon to 9 p.m.,
The Winter Fest is open in January Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 9 p.m. until Jan. 19.

There will also be a Christmas tree lot at Orchard Valley as well as the ability to visit Santa now through Christmas Eve at Bass Pro Shops.
Reservations via the Bass Pro Shops site is recommended to visit Santa. The visit includes a free photo as well as free video.
*Outdoor collectible show, Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot near South Union Road and Atherton Drive.
The Hub Exchange sponsored event includes collectibles, Pokeman, sports cards, shoes and more in a buy, sell, and trade format.
There will also be food trucks, a photo booth, and a disc jockey.
Those that bring a brand new unwrapped toy for a toy drive will be entered into a raffle.
*Winter Wonderland Craft & Vendor Market, Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 13-14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
