Manteca Police arrested a 26 year-old Antioch man on wanted in connection with four shootings in two days.

Officers on Tuesday located the suspect vehicle and the suspect in the Jack-in-the-Box parking lot at Main Street and Louise Avenue.

During a high risk stop, the suspect backed the car up toward the patrol cars and one officer attempted to block the suspect car from fleeing.

The suspect was able to flee and officers pursued him.

The suspect fired several times at the pursuing patrol cars while traveling northbound on Union Road between Lovelace Road and French Camp Road.

Shortly afterwards, the suspect vehicle collided with an uninvolved car, veered off the road, and rolled several times.

The officers gave the suspect commands to exit the car.

After about 20 minutes of negotiations, he exited and was taken into custody.
The suspect had complaints of pain and was taken to a local hospital for medical clearance.

A firearm was located in the car.

Four shootings had occurred at the same residence on two different days: Sept. 8 and Sept. 9.

The shootings resulted in property damage only.

Through the shooting investigations, officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect vehicle and the license plate number.

The Antioch man’s name and car description are being withheld until photo line-ups and further witness statements are obtained.

He was booked into San Joaquin County
