The Ripon Farmers Market returns on Thursday.

Located at the parking lot of Studio Joy, 929 W. Main St., this once-a-week event – scheduled every Thursdays, 5 to 8 p.m., from May through September – supports Garden Joy, a non-profit community garden.

Opening night will include local artist Betsy Allen, who will have an interactive booth for children and adults to try their hand doing pour-painting art at no cost.

Garden Joy provides opportunities for both children and adults to learn the art of gardening along with helping to give back to the community. Over the years, Garden Joy has donated over 5,000 pounds of produce to those in need.

The Ripon Farmers Market is a one-stop shop featuring fresh and local produce along with items such as cheese, sourdough bread, cookies, pies, eggs, olive oil, meat, seafood, hummus, honey, coffee, soap, house plants, and flowers, to name a few.

Food trucks – four main food trucks will be in the rotation for this year – coupled with live music will also be part of the farmers market landscape for those on the go or just looking to relax after a long day.
