No entry fee for July 4th parade

More than 100 entries are expected for this year’s Fourth of July parade down Main Street in Manteca.

“The Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis is looking forward to the opportunity to once again showcase our community and express our pride of living in the greatest country in the world with the presentation of the Fourth of July Parade,” noted parade chairman Brian Mills.

The theme for this year’s event is “Celebration of American Heroes”.  The Kiwanis anticipate around 100 entries to the parade including floats, marching bands, antique and show vehicles, mounted horse teams, and any America-loving citizens who want to celebrate.

As usual, the parade check-in and staging area will be at North Main Street and Jason Avenue between Rite Aid and Fagundes Brother’s Meat.  Please enter off of Louise Avenue at North Main Street. Staging will begin 8 a.m. on Thursday July 4. The parade will start promptly at 10 a.m.

Manteca Noon Kiwanis will, once again, be having their Pancake Breakfast at Angelos’  starting at 7  a.m. It is conveniently located at the parade staging area. 

There is no entry fee to be in the parade. The entry deadline is June 30.
